The motion picture industry is seeing the resurgence of glamorous stars in the likes of Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise but enthusiasts do not see the years of hard work put into the building-up of these celebrities. Glamourous stars have faded into obscurity because motion picture producers cannot compete with other shows that featured good shows but less known actors and actresses.

Carving out a new future: Japanese consumer electronics

Article Abstract:

The digital videodisc is expected to be the biggest new consumer electronics product since the video cassette recorder was introduced in the 70's, with $112 billion in annual sales forecast by 2000. Two Japanese companies, Sony and Matsushita, are best positioned to market the new videodisc.
