Brand new products from Trinecke Zelezarny

Article Abstract:

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, plans to produce about 22,000 t of lucrative steel in 1998. The lucrative steel is high-alloy corrosion-proof steel and steel of the class 13-19 intended for forging shops. In 1997 TZ produced a total of 18,000 t of the steel including 14,000 t of corrosion-proof steel and 4,000 t of steel intended for forging shops. TZ produced a total of over 40,000 t of electro-steel in 1997. TZ will supply 40,000 t of rails to the Turkish state railways in June-October 1998. The Egyptian state railways will purchase 10,000 t of rails with a length of 18 mt from TZ in 1998. TZ won a tender for the supply of 4,450 t of rails with a length of 36 mt for the Croatian state railways in 1998. TZ won a similar tender for a supply of 5,000 t of rails for the Croatian state railways in 1996.

TZ processed nearly 1 mil t of waste in 1997

Article Abstract:

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, processed 830,000 t of waste at its plant Druhotne Suroviny (DS) in 1997. DS processed about 420,000 t of blast-furnace slag and about 65,000 t of metallurgy debris to iron sows, sorted refractory material, artificial aggregates and processed metallurgy debris. DS processed nearly 340,000 t of steel slag to iron sows, metallurgy granulation products and concentrate, artificial aggregates and binding agent. DS extracted about 110,000 t of waste from industrial waste dumping ground in 1996. Nearly 50,000 t of steel sludges, 30,000 t of steel slag, 12,000 t of blast-furnace slag and 13,000 t of metallurgy debris from the waste was utilised.

The firm's products line includes about 200 kinds of chairs and armchairs. Its annual turnover is CEK 1.2 bil. The firm exports 85% of its total production. It has 2,000 employees. It plans to invest in wood bending equipment.
