CROATIA: MODERNISATION OF ELECTRIC LOCOMOTIVES
Article Abstract:
As part of a programme to modernise Croatian electric locomotives, an appeal for tenders has been launched concerning the general service and modernisation of around 13 series HZ 1141 electric locomotives. Modernisation works should be launched in the first half of 2001 and finish at the end of the first half of 2002. Specifications should be requested from the adjudicator, Mr Vitko Giljevic, tel: 00 385 1 378 28 83, e-mail: vitko.giljevic@hz.tel.her, or from the French Trade Commission in Zagreb. Candidate files must be submitted by 28 July 2000, at 14:00 (local time), at the latest.

FRANCE: FIF GETS A NEW PRESIDENT

Jean-Claude Berthod has replaced Jacques Douffiagues as president of the FIF (Federation of Railroad Industries). During his career, Mr Berthod, who is 71 years old has been president of Novatrans, president of OPCA Transports, and president of Danzas SA.
