DaimlerChrysler AG is introducing its new subcompact car, Smart ForTwo, in the United States, with an emphasis on marketing its safety features. In the United States, where people favor larger vehicles like SUVs, the two-seater, 8.8 foot long Smart ForTwo is at a disadvantage in collisions. The company will also emphasize the subcompact's low price and low energy use.
