Carrefour Korea Ltd. of South Korea is considering selling some of its department stores but as of yet no negotiations are taking place. The French department store chain has less than ten percent of market share in South Korea.

Kia Motors' profit rises 17%, aided by SUV sales in Europe

Kia Motors Corp. posted an increase of 17% in its 2003 first half net profits to 328 billion won (244.8 million euros). The company was helped by sport-utility vehicle sales in Europe.
