Covad expects its results to miss analysts' targets

Article Abstract:

Covad Communications Group Inc. announced it will not make analysts' targets for the fourth quarter, even though officials came up with a plan to cut losses and expenses at the high-speed Internet service. Covad announced that it expects to make fourth-quarter revenue of $60 million to $65 million (Euro68.2 million to E73.8 million), a decrease from a projection of $85 million in mid October, and operating losses of $180 million to $190 million.

Internet-software concern warns of loss

Article Abstract:

BroadVision Inc. is forecasting lower-than-expected results for the 2001 second-quarter. The company is expecting a 17 cents to 20 cents (20 European cents to 24 European cents) per share loss for the period. BroadVision is also laying off an additional 220 employees.

Cisco Systems Inc. enjoyed better-than-expected growth in the third quarter. Orders exceeded shipments for the first time in almost two years. Market share in most categories was up.
