Cod plan review

Article Abstract:

European fisheries commissioner, Joe Borg, ordered a review of European Union's North Sea Cod Recovery Plan. Borg wants to know if there are factors other than overfishing, which are resulting in failure of recovery of cod stocks. In this context, Scottish White Fish Producers' Association has suggested that Canada's experience to revive the cod stocks must also be studied. Certain factors like ocean climate, habitat destruction, etc., which resulted in Canadian failure should also be considered.
