Issues concerning legal intricacies connected to the signing of the final certificate to signify an agreement between the architect and the constructors of a building are discussed. Particular attention is given to the history of the phrase.

Complexities remain but time limits finally get more realistic

The complexities in setting the time limits in construction cases are discussed. Some reasons for the constructions to run out of time can be breach of contract, and reliance on negligent advice by the claimant.
