Conservationists launch fresh attack on Foster's Great Court

Article Abstract:

Local conservationists had asked for changes in the completed project of British Museum Great Court designed by architect Foster and Partners' after it was found out, that there was deviation from the original plans submitted for permission. The council had also asked for fresh application to cover the differences, the conservationists threatened to approach the judiciary if the changes are not made for construction.

Three significant but unglamorous changes to Edaw's master plan for 2012 London Olympic Park, developed with Allies and Morrison, Foreign Office Architects and HOK Sport, were unveiled to a distinctly underwhelmed group of national journalists. One of these include ODA's decision to make more of an effort to integrate the massive Stratford City scheme, by Arup Associates and Fletcher Priest with the Olympic Park.

Trauma for Scottish CABE

Scotland's bid to create a version of the CABE design review process north of the border has encountered a series of problems that threaten to derail the entire project. Both HOK International and Aberdeen City Council are upset over the criticism of a scheme they proposed in the first-ever Architecture and Design Scotland (A&DS) design review meeting.
