Serpentine goes to Koolhaas

Article Abstract:

Dutch superstar Rem Koolhaas is picked to design 2006's Serpentine Gallery Pavilion and the gallery has offered the architect Koolhaas the chance to build his first structure in the UK. Koolhaas is known around the world for both his radical writing and his buildings and every year the Serpentine Gallery asks an internationally renowned architect to draw up plans for a pavilion.

British office redesigns Najaf

Article Abstract:

Llewelyn Davies Yecang (LDY), a London based firm is looking forward to redesign the holy city of Najaf in war-ravaged Iraq. LDY will team up with local consultants to draw up proposals for the entire urban area and to identify 'future growth zones' around Najaf, one the holiest cities of Shi'a Islam.
