European retailers are expected to be able to provide consumers with advertisements on their cellular telephones by the end of 2000. Individuals within 150 meters of a store will be notified of sales. This change is expected to revise shopping habits.

Cybersquatting: European companies are not amused by spread of bogus coporate sites

Article Abstract:

European companies are finding that World Wide Web domain names can sometimes cause many problems. People who have complaints against a particular company can register domain names based on or resembling the company or its products, and they sometimes use these sites to criticize the company. Some people, called cybersquatters, register domain names that they try to sell back to companies.
