DABUR TO SET UP UNIT IN UK FOR ANTI-CANCER DRUGS

Dabur India Ltd is setting up a unit in the UK for manufacturing oncology products as a first step towards becoming an international player in the anti-cancer business. The new facility will cater to the markets in Europe and the Middle East. The company, which already has a 100 percent subsidiary called Axol Laboratories in the UK, does not plan to market the oncology products under the Dabur brand name. The facility will begin commercial operations only after obtaining all the necessary approvals, which is expected to take about 12 to 15 months. (khr)
