DENMARK: ATP TO EXAMINE NEW INVESTMENT OPTIONS

Article Abstract:

ATP, the biggest pension fund in Denmark, is examining the prospects of new investment forms; the construction of rented housing. ATP's managing diretor Lars Rohde and chairman of the board Knud Heinesen have discussed the matter with the minister of housing and minister of finance who took a positive stance towards the plans. The meeting did not result in any concrete plans but the parties are to meet several times to reach an agreement.

De danska bostadspriserna kommer att ga upp och trots den stigande internationella rantan forvantas bostadspriserna att ga upp. Tva bidragande faktorer ar lag arbetsloshet och att lonerna stiger, enligt chefsekonomen pa Den Danske Handelskammer Jens Brendrup. De senaste 6 aren har bostadspriserna stigit med 74% och detta har skapat stora mojligheter for bostadsagarna.

DENMARK: DECLINE IN CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY

Article Abstract:

From the second quarter of 1999 to the second quarter of 2000 residential construction activity decreased by 16% to 4 187 dwellings. The total construction work, measured in commenced building area, decreased by 12%. The reason for this is mainly the decline in residential construction.
