DENMARK: COLOPLAST BOOSTS TURNOVER BY 12%

Article Abstract:

Coloplast A/S has boosted its six-month turnover in 2000-2001 by 12% compared with the corresponding period last year vs. analysts forecasts of a 13.5% increase whereas operating profit climbed 28%. The company's turnover in the corresponding period in 1999-2001 was DKr1, 699mn. The growth in profit is ascribed to higher productivity and the fact that last year's results were affected by one-off costs for the re-organisation of US operations. Coloplast produces ostomy, continence, wound and skin care products among other things.
