DENMARK: NEW PRODUCTS BY DANISCO

Article Abstract:

Danisco is to launch a number of new speciality sugar products in Denmark in the next few months in a response to consumer demands for a broader product range. The new products comprise cane sugar and icing sugar products among other things. At the same time the company is to modernize its design line for consumer products on the Nordic markets.

Denmark: "EU's sugar system not yet to be changed"

Article Abstract:

Mogens Granborg, CEO of Danisco Sugar, doesn't expect the EU's system for the sugar market to be changed until in five-seven years, at the earliest. The present system is valid until 2006, and Mogens Granborg says WTO is not likely to reach any agreement about the sugar market in the short run.

DENMARK:DANISCO SUGAR PRODUCTION ABOVE EU QUOTA

Article Abstract:

Danisco's sugar production is expected to exceed the EU quota by an ample margin; tests indicate a result of 6.87 tonnes per hectare in Denmark vs. 5.28 last year.
