The company has been able to double its turnover in the last two years inspite of stiff domestic and international competition. It has offices and warehouses in Canada and the US and has successfully formed a consortium of ancillaries and associates. LIC PLANS TO SET UP SHOP IN SAUDI ARABIA

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) plans to set up an insurance company in Saudi Arabia and increase its presence in the Persian Gulf region. It has been operating a separate company called Life Insurance Corporation International since 1989 in Bahrain. LIC wants to capture a larger share of the life insurance market in the Gulf states where a large population of Indian workers reside. (khr)
