Amsterdam opens Pantares box

Article Abstract:

Schiphol Group, Gerlach Cerfontaine and Flughafen Frankfurt/Main AG announced in Nov 2000 that they have formed an alliance. Under the brand name Pantares, the two international airports will develop cooperation in six key business areas that include passengers and retailing, ground handling and cargo, real estate development, facility management, information and communications technology (ICT), and international activities.

Jamaica nears privatisation

Article Abstract:

The Airports Authority of Jamaica is being advised by UBS Warburg on the privatization of Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The airport authority is already evaluating a short-list of four consortia, which have re-tendered for a 30-year concession. The bidders have also agreed to a required development plan that includes a new terminal under Phase II expansion of the airport.
