Decentralised, multi-objective driven scheduling for reentrant shops: a conceptual development and a test case

Article Abstract:

The research conducted to find out a new approach called the Reentrant Shop Decentralised Scheduling (RESDES), to comply all the most innovative trends in reentrant shop scheduling using the concept of decentralised decision making is presented. The performance and robustness and real life suitability of the approach is analyzed through the extensive test conducted based on the real data in two cases belonging to semiconductors and metalworking businesses.

Genetic local search for multi-objective flowshop scheduling problems

Article Abstract:

The features of the multi-objective genetic local search algorithm (MOGLS), proposed to address the flowshop scheduling problems with multiple performance criteria, to find the appropriate Pareto optimal solutions is discussed. The comparative results with two other algorithms showed that the MOGLS is able to find more number of optimal solutions with higher quality in terms.
