Article Abstract:

Isolit Bravo (IB) (Jablonne nad Orlici, Czech Republic), household electrical appliance manufacturer, is developing co-operation with foreign partners. They enable the firm to enter foreign markets in the form of Own Equipment Manufacturing (OEM). IB manufactures deep-fat fryers under their names for the firms. On the Czech market, the products are known under the trade mark Branko. IB has a long-term contract with Philips (Netherlands), producing roughly 40,000 liquidizers per month for the company. IB has been generating a net profit of roughly CEK 50 mil per year under a turnover of about CEK 600 mil per year since 1995. Besides kitchen appliances, whiter household equipment started to participate in the firm's turnover in 1999. IB also supplies mouldings from its pressing shop, mainly to Sklarny Kavalier (Sazava, Czech Republic), OCE (Netherlands) and Ikea (Sweden). IB invests about CEK 40 mil per year in new technology.

Keramika Horni Briza changes the structure of its shareholders

Article Abstract:

Keramika Horni Briza (KHB) (Horni Briza, Czech Republic), ceramics company, has had a new shareholder since the beginning of 2001. Hussar Holding (HH) (Hungary), part of Zalakeramia (Hungary), sold a 36.2% stake in KHB to an unnamed firm. This happened after one-year lawsuits with KHB's shareholder Lasselsberger (Austria), which holds a 34.4% stake.
