Dentsu eyes Leo Burnett stake

Article Abstract:

Japanese advertising firm Dentsu Inc, the fourth biggest agency in the world has announced its intentions of acquiring a small stake at Leo Burnett Company Inc based in Chicago, IL. The move would allow both companies to embark on joint ventures in the US and other countries to serve Japanese clients. A Dentsu official said the plan is beneficial to both companies since they do not have conflicting client bases. Furthermore, the move would expand Dentsu's exposure in the western and European markets, while providing extra capital for Leo Burnett.
