Deutsche Post reviews its U.S. road map: as DHL brand fails to gain much traction, some expect a retreat

Article Abstract:

Deutsche Post AG is assessing its options regarding its US-based package delivery service, DHL, including rolling back services or selling the unit. Deutsche Post drew approximately 60% of revenue totaling 46.55 bil euro outside of Germany during the first three quarters of 2007; however DHL's market share has stayed under 10% and Deutsche Post has written down 600 mil euro of its US fixed assets.

CVC Capital to buy majority stake in Formula One

Article Abstract:

CVC Capital Partners of the United Kingdom is to acquire a majority stake in the stock car racing concern Formula One Group also of the United Kingdom. The stake is to be purchased from Bayerische Landesbank of Germany. Bernie Ecclestone who owns a minority (25 percent) stake will stay on as Chief Executive Officer of Formula One Group.
