EurAir Pass is a Los Angeles, CA-based firm that enables travelers to fly on regularly scheduled flights. By providing $90 coupons to 50 cities in 18 countries, busy executives can now travel without problems. According to Bill Wolf, a former American Express executive who launched EurAir Pass, each coupon is valid for 120 days, without any restrictions. Initial partners of EurAir Pass include Aer Lingus (Ireland), Air Greece, Air Baltic, Air One, PGA Portugalia, Span-air, Virgin Express, and VLM (Belgium). Recent additions to EurAir's partners include Estonian Airlines and AB (Air Bristol), which hauls travelers from Shannon, Ireland, and Dublin, Ireland, to Berlin, Germany, via London, UK.

Purchasing consortia boost profits

Purchasing Support Services, headquartered in Williamsville, NY, is a 20-person consultancy specialized in upgrading the corporate purchasing process. The company that has set up 10 purchasing consortia since its start presently organizes two additional consortia that range from two to 10 participants. The company's consortia include the Curtis Screw Co. Inc., a screw-machine parts supplier which was organized in its purchasing function. Purchasing Support Services also accepts individual companies for consults.

Successful heavy-lift shipping: planning ahead is essential

Shippers of heavy-lift freight should work closely with the transport contractor as early as possible, even before the cargo has been designed and fabricated. Experts say involving the contractor early in the design process will make it highly probable that the shipment will be delivered in a safe and efficient manner. The alternative is a shipping process whose potential for damage and loss is substantial.
