Hughes posts quarterly loss, blames DirecTV

Honeywell reports a 10% income drop

Honeywell International Inc. posted a decline of 10% in its income from ongoing operations for the 2000 fourth-quarter. The company posted $569 million (616 million euros) in operating income for the period.

EchoStar profit increases 90% as average monthly bills swell

Article Abstract:

EchoStar Communications Corp. of the United States posted a soaring 90 percent increase to $133 million from $70 million last year, in fourth quarter net profit. Revenue for the satellite television giant rose by almost 13 percent to $2.18 billion.
