El 65% de los espanoles son favorables a la integracion de los inmigrantes

According to a study carried out by Asep, 65% of the Spanish people supports the social integration of immigrants in Spain. Nearly 22% believe that immigrants should be re-sent back to their countries. Those Spaniards who think that immigrants from less-developed countries have a direct implication with the lack of work in Spain total 46% (47% say no). Overseas inhabitants in Spain amount to 610,000, of which 176,000 (1.01%) owns a work permit. The access to free sanitary assistance (84%) and a house (63%) are other questions Spanish people majority support. The 25,000 residential permits the Spanish Government gives every year are considered too much by 25% of the interviewed.

According to a study carried out in Spain by the Andersen Consulting company, average telephone services prices are expected to come down in a year's time by about 30%. Over an eight year period the telecoms services market will double to Pta 4,000,000mn by the year 2005. The accumulated market growth will be approximately 9%. Mobile phone services will continue to show the most growth (20%), pay TV services are set to increase 15% and fixed telephony prices are forecast to rise 5% per year. Market expansion is expected to continue until the year 2001, and will stabilise until 2004 when market restructuring is expected to begin.
