El grupo catalan Zanini abrira plantas en Zaragoza, Brasil, Mexico y Polonia

Article Abstract:

Spanish automotive components manufacturer Zanini, based in Barcelona, is reportedly planning to invest Pta 1,400mn in Brazil to begin production there through a joint venture with a local and European partner in the State of Minas Gerais. There are also plans to set up a plant in El Marques (Queretano) in March, 1999, which will supply to auto makers such as Volkswagen, Renault, GM and Ford. In Poland, Zanini will be supplying hub caps to Suzuki and Opel, through a venture with the same European partner Zanini plans to work with in Brazil. The Spanish company has plant facilities in Vilafranca del Penedes and Parets del Valles, and is said to be planning to open another plant in Zaragoza. Zanini produces radiator grills, door parts and hubcaps.

Eurofighter selecciona a Indra como sede de produccion de sus simuladores

Spanish company Indra's plant facility in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid) has been chosen as the headquarters for production of the Eurofighter flight simulators. Indra will also lead the consortium ESS (Eurofighter Simulator Systems), which was awarded the contract worth Pta 140,000mn. Construction of the 30 simulators will be carried out over a 10-year period. Thomson Training Simulation (TTS) of the UK and Indra will each have a 26% stake in the order, while the group formed by Cae of Canada and Atlas of Germany will have a 24% stake and Meteor of Italy, a 24% stake.
