VETAS VINDER ITALIENSK ORDRE

Article Abstract:

Vestas Wind Systems, the Danish producer of wind power generators, is to establish the joint venture Italian Wind Technology (IWT) in Italy with the partner Wind Energy Systems. IWT is expected to reach a DKr 175mn (USD 26mn) turnover in 1998. Vestas has recently been awarded a contract valued at DKr 225mn in Italy, including the supply of 90 generators with a capacity of 600 kW to Italian Vento Power Corp.

UK: INVESTMENT IN WIND MILL WING PLANT

Article Abstract:

NEG Micon, the Danish producer of wind power generators, will invest DKr 125mn (USD 18mn) in a plant for the production of wings on the Isle of Wight. The investment will also include a R&D center. The company aims at supplying 20-30% of wings from its own wing production.
