Zodiac Clothing (ZC) has three plants, two in Bangalore and one in Gujarat, which make branded shirts. It sells branded ties also. It exports branded shirts to Europe. Its exports increased by 3.12 percent in 1997-98. ZC is one of the top five selling brands in India. It launched hand stitched Italian silk ties and new range of formal shirts and ties called Ivory Collection. ZC has three subsidiaries - Mayfair (Bombay) Ltd, Multiplex Collapsible Tubes Ltd and Zodiac Clothing Company SA. (rk)(m)

Oxemberg, the garment division of Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd, has introduced a new range of casual wear which includes Oxemball washed garments, bio-polished garments, raw denim jeans and Tencel shirts. Oxemball is a process that has been developed to provide a supple, smooth finish while bio-polish is a treatment system that incorporates chemicals from Novo Nordisk of Denmark. The Tencil shirts are manufactured from overdyed fabric. (khr)
