FRANCE: HAVAS INTERACTIVE FORTHCOMING LAUNCHES

Article Abstract:

Educational products account for 40% of the activity of Havas Interactive. Games account for 30% and practical guide products account for just 5%. Havas intends to re-balance these proportions, increasing the number of 'practical' products it releases. However, it will not neglect either the game or the educational market, and is planning many new releases in 1999. Christmas will see the release of Katego, described as a new concept in play-educational CD-ROMs. Havas identifies educational software a priority purchasing area for the French. Forthcoming releases include the Robert Junior in August and at least 10 titles in the 'Coup de Pouce' collection for very small children. Games launches include Half Life, Extreme Byker, Home World (real-time, 3D strategy game), Diablo II (in November) and the strategy game Pharaon (also in November, costing FFr 349).

FRANCE: MICRO APPLICATION PRESENTS TATTOO CD-ROM

Article Abstract:

Tatouages by Micro Application includes a range of filters, textures and backgrounds which help the user get a tailored version of a tattoo chosen from a selection of 500. Once designed, the temporary, painless tattoo, for the skin and nails, is printed on a specific piece of paper. The new CD-ROM retails at FFr 99 in France.
