FRANCE: INNOVATION TO STIMULATE ICE CREAM MARKET

Ice cream companies are increasing their innovations with a more sophisticated selection in order to boost sales of ice cream in France. They are introducing new textures and new flavour contrasts. They are especially concentrating their efforts on adult and children's treats segments. Two new fruit sherbet brands are appearing in 2001: Nestle's Frubetto and Tropicana.

FRANCE: TOFUTTI INTRODUCES THREE FROZEN DESSERTS

Article Abstract:

Tofutti has introduced three frozen desserts made from soy proteins. These products are guaranteed to contain now chemical preservatives and no animal fats. They come in three sizes: pots of twelve flavours of frozen soy 'ice cream,' a 700 ml Yule Log named Rock'n'Roll, and Cornetto vanilla flavoured cones in a 440 ml pack of four units.

FRANCE: PILPA'S NEW DESSERT

Article Abstract:

Pilpa has launched a new frozen dessert developed by chef Michel Bras. The dessert is named Coulant au Chocolat. The product must be heated in an oven for 20 minutes in order to have a melting chocolate core. It is priced at FFr 25 for two 100-gram units.
