FRANCE: ISIGNY SAINTE-MERE'S NEW CAMEMBERT

The Isigny Sainte-Mere company has used an old Normand tradition to produce its new camembert. This is an AOC camembert which is ripened in calvados apply brandy and rolled in bread crumbs. It is priced at FFr 25 for a 250-gram unit.

FRANCE: AN AOC CAMEMBERT FROM GRAINDORGE

Article Abstract:

The Graindorge company has introduced an upscale Normandy camembert. This is an Appellation d'Origine Controlee camembert which is priced at FFr 13.50 for a 250 gram box. This product has a ripening ring which enhances the product while preventing it from being taken out of the box. On each packaging there is an information system with the product's ripening dates (half-ripened, three-fourths ripened, and ripened to the core).
