FRANCE: SIEMENS LAUNCHES SL 45 MOBILE PHONE

Siemens is launching its new mobile phone terminal in France, SL 45, to retail at EUR 760.72 (without subscription). With autonomy going to 170 hours, the SL 45 features mobile Internet access, using WAP standard 1.1, an infrared interface, integrated modem, and SMS and CD-Rom management facility. Weighing only 88g, the SL 45 also has a large illuminated graphic screen, communication autonomy of 1-4 hours, and data and fax transmission at 9.6kbps.
