Fed sees bond market hampering its steps to keep inflation in check

Article Abstract:

The United States Federal Reserve Board is planning to increase short-term interest rates in an effort to lessen inflation and tighten credit. The bond market is keeping long-term interest rates unusually low, so in response the United States Federal Reserve Board is likely to raise the short-term interest rates to keep the economy on track.
