Firms mine the Internet: resource concerns remake themselves

Article Abstract:

A number of Australian resource prospecting companies have transformed themselves into Internet, high technology or telecommunications firms. These moves are aimed at sustaining investor interest given that investors are no longer willing to wait for the big metal, mineral, oil or gas strikes of these companies following the decline in commodities prices. These firms have begun seeing returns from these transitions in the form of increasing share prices in the Australian Stock Exchange.

Mining profit from a trend
