Ford hires former Whirlpool manager

Ford Motor Co. announced that it has hired Louise Goeser as its new vice president for quality. Ms. Goeser's appointment will become effective on March 1, 1999. Ms. Goeser is the former general manager of Whirlpool Corp.'s refigerator products unit. She also served as Whirlpool's vice president for quality. Ms. Goeser previously held different management positions at Westinghouse Electric Co.
