CEZ (Czech Republic), power firm, will start the major overhaul of the boiler K2 at its power station Elektrarna Detmarovice, the Czech Republic. The major overhaul should be completed in October 1999. The investment costs on the project should be 30 mil Kc. The Engineering division the metallurgy company Vitkovice (Ostrava, Czech Republic) will be one of the project's main sub-suppliers.

Schuttersveld (Netherlands), plastic parts company, will build an automotive plastics plant in Tachov, Czech Republic, in 2001. The company bought land for the construction of the plant from the town of Tachov for the price of CEK 100/sq mt. The plant will have 400 employees.
