Sewage treatment plants in China

Article Abstract:

Vitkovice (Ostrava, Czech Republic), metallurgy and engineering company, plans to manufacture in China from 1998. In China, the firm wants to produce 10-15 sewage treatment plants and agricultural product processing equipment at a joint venture with Lang Fang Pan Xing Industrial Group Company (China) every year. The joint venture called Lang Fang Pan Vitkovice Environmental Engineering (China), which was set up in September 1998, has a stock of 2 mil USD. Vitkovice holds a 58% stake in the joint venture. The joint venture's pilot project is the installation of equipment for the environmental disposal of sewage with the utilisation of gas for power purposes. The project is supported by the World Bank and the Chinese Planning Commission.

New plants, new jobs

Article Abstract:

Parker Hannifin (PH) (Sadska, Czech Republic), seal manufacturer, has built a new plant at a cost of 120 mil Kc in Sadska. The plant should produce about 1.5 mil seals per month. So far the firm has been manufacturing on rented premises in Sadska. The company increased its share on the domestic market to 1.5% in 1998 compared to 0.5% in 1997. PH is a part of a multinational concern of the same name.

New plants, new jobs

Article Abstract:

Nemak (Mexico), car component manufacturer, will start the construction of a new plant in Plzen, the Czech Republic, in June 2000. The plant will produce car engine aluminium heads. The project worth nearly 6 bil Kc will be one of the largest foreign investments in the Czech Republic. The plant will have 900 employees and will ensure further 2,000 indirect jobs in the West Bohemian region.
