Greyhound creates a national identity

Article Abstract:

Greyhound Canada of Calgary, Alberta has unveiled a national marketing strategy that will make the firm competitive with the fares offered by Canada's airlines. The shift from a regional to a national strategy was highlighted by means of a television and transit advertising campaign, which was handled by FWJ Communications of Calgary, Alberta. In addition, Greyhound has made a strong brand positioning move for its Greyhound Courier Express, which includes a redesigned logo for the courier firm.

Greyhound Courier gets more urban

Article Abstract:

Greyhound Courier Express of Calgary, Alberta, has launched the 'Any Door, Anywhere' campaign on May 1, 2000 to reintroduced its products to existing and potential customers and emphasized the courier's new products lines, which include same-day service and guaranteed deleivery times. The campaign, which was created by Greenaway and Associates of Kelowna, BC, include an information mail out to existing customers and a fall direct marketing campaign to targeted business and industry groups.

Greyhound's Strategy shift pays off

Greyhound Canada Transportation attributes the 8.5% increase in revenues and 7.9% increase in the number of passengers carried to a marketing strategy it implemented in 2000. The company's marketing effort emphasized its unique strengths that include capacity-flexible seting, downtown-to- downtown travel, no upper limits on seat sales and competitive pricing.
