Ground rules: St Johns College School, Cambridge

Article Abstract:

Educational charity Learning through Landscapes assisted St John's College School in Cambridge, England, in devising an innovative design for its small playground. There was also a detailed consultation process with pupils at the school before work went ahead. The playground now offers a rich mixture of colours, materials and textures. Coloured brick paving has been used to create light and warmth, while other features include crazy paving in York stone and playhouses in different types of timber.
