The Asian Pacific region's e-commerce sales for the holiday season are expected to be 91% higher than last years sales, however, sites must face challenges that are unique to the region. Successful sites must address issues including language barriers and buying styles.

New eye-catching banner shapes have been introduced in the U.S. for Internet advertising, and Asian advertisers are starting to experiment with the new formats. However, less than 5% of ad-supported Web sites currently adhere to the new Internet Advertising Bureau standards, mainly due to lack of communication among advertisers.
