It has also introduced a roofing system which includes plants for insulation and other environmental advantages. The company has launched an initiative to examine working practices throughout the supply chain and installation life of Hoogovens products, and is working towards accreditation concerning its environmental policy.

Callaghan sets out vision for Wales Assembly building

Article Abstract:

The competition assessment panel will announce its choice of architect for the National Assembly of Wales, UK, in October 1998. Panel Chairman Lord Callaghan says the panel will choose the team which appears most likely to meet the design briefs. These briefs include a building which will function well as an administrative debating centre, avoiding a confrontational design. Security, accessibility and an appearance which reflects Wales, and which will not look out of place in the next century, are also important issues.
