Retired armed forces chief Wiranto, a presidential candidate, was recently put on AmericaEs visa watch list following United Nations indictment for his crimes against humanity in East Timor in 1999 violence. This move is seen as interference in internal affairs and a blatant expression of American disapproval of his candidacy.

Article Abstract:

This article provides a overview of the on-going efforts of the Hmong to seek their independence from the Lao government. The article includes references to the beginning of the conflict that began with the CIA's involvement to destabilize the Laotian communist government in the area during the Vietnam war.
