Re-excavating Cheshmeh Ali

Article Abstract:

Painted decorations are the most distinct feature of the pottery of Cheshmeh Ali, a tradition of north central Iran. Early Chalcolithic Pottery of north central Iran has received little scientific attention in spite of its aesthetic charm. Cheshmeh Ali, set within the foothills of Elburz mountains, was a part of the the much celebrated Silk Road. Although the painted Cheshmeh Ali tradition has been known for decades, the understanding of these pottery vessels, especially in context of the societal pattern, is still very limited.

A group of performance measures that can be used in a simple model were established beginning from the decomposition of sales into base and incremental volume as given by data suppliers at the underlying level of item-store-week.
