Intel's chips catch the chill

Article Abstract:

Intel Corp officials are starting to feel the presence of the Asian financial crisis as the company reported several financial losses in 1997. It was revealed that Intel's percentage revenues dropped by 15%, while market sales in the region declined by $300 million. However, such losses were not enough to alarm Intel officials, who claim that European sales were able to offset profit deficits. They further add that although Asia is hit by financial crisis, demand in countries such as China and India, continue to increase.
