Internationalization of top management teams in Europe

Article Abstract:

The national diversity of top management teams in Sweden and The Netherlands have not progressed in proportion to the level of internationalization of the companies, due to globalizing markets, technological developments, and increased international competition. The relevant literatures on top management in Sweden and The Netherlands have an international orientation that is highlighted by the presence of well-known multinationals.

Corporate Social Responsibility: moving beyond investment towards measuring outcomes

Article Abstract:

The reasons behind the low impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting on business decision making is examined from the study of CSR policy and practices in multinational companies. A framework that links CSR to business and social outcomes is proposed. Based on the framework, recommendations for change in the policy and practice issues are suggested.

Design characteristics and functioning of top management teams in Europe

Article Abstract:

An investigation of the design and operation of top management teams in the UK, the Netherlands and Denmark is presented. It is suggested that the team concept may be more relevant in some countries than others because of the legal and socioeconomic climate.
