Article Abstract:

The IABC (International Association of Business of Communicators) Canada Conference 2004 held in Calgary recently, debated on openness and honesty in organizational communications. Peter Hunt, vice-president, public affairs, with Calgary energy utility Enmax, and Maureen Payne, consultant for Calgary-based public and governmental affairs, argued for and against the motion respectively.

Article Abstract:

Digital video recorders are posing a new threat to television advertising, as they enable viewers to skip commercials in recorded programs, by fast forwarding. However, if DVRs increase viewing by about 20%, there might be an overall increase in the viewing of TV commercials.
