Enthusiasm for PCs Remains Unabated

Purchases of personal computers for business will grow by eighty percent in 1984 and 1985, according to the Datec survey. The largest percent of the PCs are bought for data processing and management information systems departments. The most popular uses will be applications, with inquiry coming in second. Financial functions are expected to become the favorite application. Visicalc, Lotus 1-2-3 and Multiplan are at the top. Trimming costs

Article Abstract:

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC-u) products are relatively less expensive than they used to be when compared to equivalent wood installations. Higher labour, building materials and maintenance costs have pushed up the price of wood installations making timber a less viable option than previously considered. Modern PVC-u products such as windows boards, trims and architraves are varied and attractive.
