Kung fu star gets a kick out of Hollywood

Hong Kong kung fu expert and motion picture actor Jackie Chan is out to conquer Hollywood with the showing of 'Rumble in the Bronx' in at least 1,000 theaters in the country. Born in 1954 of poor Chinese immigrant parents, Chan struggled through life by acquiring martial arts skills. He developed interest in theater and cinema rather than reading and writing. This, however, has not deterred him from receiving an honorary degree of Doctor of Social Sciences from Hong Kong Baptist University.
