Rue de Bourg: markets and merchandizing

Article Abstract:

Lausanne's Rue de Bourg is famous for its abundant farmer's markets which offer fresh vegetables, fruits and beautiful flowers. It is also the center of exclusive shops such as Bally, Cartier, Christofle, Esprit, Hennes and Mauritz, and Benetton. However, the relocation of families to the suburbs, the increasing number of malls in the outskirts, and the worsening traffic conditions in the area have led to the slowdown in Lausanne's businesses. Authorities plan to solve these problems by creating sufficient parking spaces and keeping Rue de Bourg as lively as possible.

Piaget: the man who listened to children

Article Abstract:

Jean Piaget was a Swiss child psychologist, sociologist and philosopher whose works had a profound impact on child care and education. His studies on the origin, nature and limits of human knowledge led him to formulate the theory that children do not think like adults and are only capable of gradually understanding concepts of volume, distance, numbers and morality. Piaget conducted most of his studies on his three children who were observed while at play.
