LG sues Quanta Computer over use of 4 DVD patents

Article Abstract:

South Korean consumer electronics firm LG Electronics Inc. has filed suit against Taiwan's Quanta Computer Inc., claiming that Quanta has used four of LG's DVD patents to manufacture notebook computers supplied to the US. LG seeks an injunction against use of the technology and monetary compensation from Quanta.

A California court has dropped t he wiretapping c harges against former Hewlett-Packard Co. chair Patricia Dunn. However, the U.S. Department of Justice is continuing its investigation into the scandal, which resulted in Patricia Dunn's resignation.
