Leadership and culture in Mexico

Article Abstract:

An analysis of leadership and societal culture in Mexico based on data from the Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness Project (GLOBE) is presented. Results show that the Mexican tendency to accept that power is unequally distributed in society reflects the absolute power exercised by theocratic, militaristic, and autocratic leaders in the country's history. The importance of the family in Mexican culture is also discussed.
